My son recently had a tough experience. He thought this guy was his friend, but turns out, the so-called friend was just trying to play. Kian recognized something was wrong, but wasn’t sure what it was.
I reminded him of a lesson he that he was taught on the football field when he was 11 years old. Kian had fumbled the football during practice. The coach stopped practice and told all the boys :
“”Look, when you have the football, there are only a few people in this world that are happy about it and will support you. The rest of world is going to do 2 things :
1. Hate you for having it. or
2. Try to take it away from you.
This lesson reminds us to be patient and attentive when it comes to defining who we call a friend.
